About Us

Learning Through Action (LTA)

is a youth-led, non-political, and independent civil society organization founded in 2015 in the Bekaa region of Lebanon. Established in response to the growing needs of vulnerable and underserved communities, LTA is dedicated to promoting human rights, empowering women and youth, and strengthening social inclusion through education, health, protection, and sustainable development programs.

LTA was created by a group of committed young women who believed that true social change comes through direct engagement and community-based solutions. Since its founding, the organization has worked tirelessly to support children, youth, women, people with disabilities, and refugees—particularly Syrian and Palestinian populations—through holistic programs that address both urgent humanitarian needs and long-term development goals.

Driven by the belief that learning should be connected to real-life experience, LTA uses innovative, action-oriented approaches to build skills, raise awareness, and empower individuals to improve their lives and communities. From education and vocational training to psychosocial support, reproductive health awareness, digital literacy, environmental sustainability, and emergency relief, LTA’s work is rooted in compassion, equity, and resilience.

Today, LTA continues to grow as a trusted and impactful organization in the Middle and West Bekaa. Through strong partnerships with local and international stakeholders, and with a focus on inclusivity and community participation, LTA remains committed to fostering dignity, empowerment, and opportunity for all.
